The Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana (BRF)

The Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana (BRF)is an independent, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization established in 1986. The Foundation was founded through a recommendation from the Mt. Auburn Study, an economic development report that identified new initiatives to diversify the Shreveport-Bossier economy.

Consortium for Education, Research, and Technology (CERT)

CERT, the Consortium for Education, Research, and Technology, serves as the intermediary- the convener and facilitator-that links the five Louisiana post-secondary systems with industry to support workforce development, technology transfer, and economic development in the 22-parish region in North Louisiana. CERT brings research and degree offerings of 11 universities and one non-profit under one umbrella.

The Committee of One Hundred

c100_Local_1The Committee of One Hundred is a nonpolitical, nonprofit membership group organized as an educational, civic and charitable organization whose members are the highest-ranking local executives of businesses and professional enterprises in Northwest Louisiana. The Committee works to mobilize the business community to improve Shreveport, Bossier City and the surrounding areas maintaining active interests in regional economic development, education and community relations.

Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce

The mission of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce is to promote economic prosperity, serve as a business advocate, and celebrate the achievements of our region.

 

Manufacturing Managers Council of NWLA 

Manufacturers collaborating to support each other through idea sharing, education, and workforce development; while also seeking to aid the growth of Manufacturing in the Northwest Louisiana region.

North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP)

North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) is a non-profit economic development marketing organization promoting fourteen parishes in North Louisiana as a desirable and profitable business location. The NLEP and its many partners work with both existing companies and prospective employers to encourage capital investment and job creation as a way to build a strong and thriving economy.

Shreveport-Bossier African-American Chamber of Commerce

The Shreveport-Bossier African-American Chamber of Commerce is the leading advocate for black owned businesses in the Northwest Louisiana area. “Helping Businesses Do Business” The Chamber represents the interests of such businesses in public and private sector forums as well as offering management and technical assistance resources to improve the effectiveness of black-owned businesses in the region.
